Aqua Azul and Misol Ha Chiapas

On Wednesday we went to Agua Azul and Misol-Ha waterfalls about an hour south of Palenque. They create some really interesting features because it is all in limestone. Luke even found a hairy pig to photograph. Unfortunately, there are many robbers in the vicinity of Agua Azul so we decided to go with a tour to the falls, luckily, it was not too expensive, about $15 USD per person. However, in Palenque our hotels are so cheap ($15 per night) that we are able to splurge a little on tours!
You might wonder what a $15 per night hotel room is like. We stayed at Posada Kin and it was pretty nice, except for the sewer smell coming up from the drains that have no gas traps! Tonight our hotel is less than $15 and seems pretty nice, but we'll see at night, when the noise filters in from the streets, or how soft the pillow are and how hard or springy the bed is! We are able to save more money by staying in the really cheap hotels. Generally when we are at the beach we have to pay about $25-35 USD for something equivalent.
