Animal Kingdom

Well for the past few days we have been somewhat busy running around town. Let's see..... Yesterday we road our bikes to several different ferraterias (hardware stores) looking for some concrete anchors and eyebolts to hang a hammock in the living room at Linda and Victor's. Luke was able to describe it in spanish and we finally got everything we needed. This morning Juana came over to clean the house and brought a little helper (well not really a helper), her son Chuy (pronounced Chewy), who we think is so cute and he brought over flowers.

Mid-day we rode our bikes to the tiangees (Thursday Market) and again we forgot to bring a camera. We had tortas de pollo (chicken sandwiches), fresh frutas with lime, chile, and salt, and hibiscus juice. On the way back, Emily stopped by Larry and Susan's house to chat, who own a magnificent home overlooking the beach and estuary, we can't wait for them to have a party at sunset because of the fantastic views off their roof decks. Then this evening we went for a walk over to check out these 3 week old kittens, whose mother died when they were 2 weeks old. Only 1 kitten was left, the rest were placed in homes, and the owner decided to keep the last one, but lets us play with it. We are hoping Emily's parents will get a kitten or two before we leave, so we are on the lookout.
