We are now in Mexico City and enjoying the city life. It is a pretty nice city for how large it is. The subway is really easy to use and very cheap (less than $0.20 US including transfers).
Yesterday we walked around looking at Diego Rivera murals which are in many museums and government buildings. We went to the palace, where the president of Mexico and congress have their offices, they have a center area open to the public for viewing murals. We tried the baked sweet potatos and bananas with crema sold on the street.

We ate vegetarian food for lunch (more food choices in a big city finally). In the evening we went back to the Zocolo for more ponche caliente (hot fruity drink).

Today we went to the huge Anthropology museum with exhibits on the different regional groups (Toltecs, Aztecs, Olmecs, Maya, etc.) with beautiful artifacts and ruins. This took several hours and we probably only looked at about two thirds of it, not in close detail. Now we are in Zona Rosa, the hipper part of town, and got some Chinese buffet for late lunch. We want to catch a movie here, but the only things playing in English nearby our hotel are 007 and something called Ergon. Tomorrow we'll go to either Teotehuacan or the Frida Museum.

Lastly, a trip to the big city is never complete for Luke without breakdancing, and finally he saw some breakdancers and had to stop and watch their moves. Emily thinks that someday he dreams of joining a breakdancing squad.
