Back in Puerto Morelos

We spent our last two nights (Saturday and Sunday) back in Puerto Morelos, our favorite beach on the Riviera Maya. We stayed at the Posada Amor the first night, then on Sunday we decided to splurge a little because it was Emily's 31st birthday and our last night together for awhile, so we stayed at the Hacienda Puerto Morelos, right on the beach, with beach view, swimming pool, cable TV, and air conditioning for $60. We ate at an excellent restaurant twice called Hola Asia, and tried their Pad Thai, Thai Fish Cakes (YUM), hot and sour soup (SPICY), and spring rolls. For the birthday desert we had key lime pie, which unfortunately didn't even come close to our friend Bob's home made key lime pie. It was fun to be in Puerto Morelos on a Sunday, when all the Mexican families come to the beach to relax on their only day off from work.

Monday morning we caught the ADO bus on the highway direct to the airport. Luke caught the Sun Country flight into Minneapolis and Emily caught Mexicana airlines into Mexico City and then changed planes back to Puerto Vallarta to stay with her folks.
